Shop Air Conditioning Installations

Air Conditioning for Shops

A comfortable retail shop will keep customers in your outlet for longer. We have all walked out of a shop on a hot summers day if it’s too hot. Equally we want to be warm in winter too, and Heat Pump Air Conditioning  units are very effective at keeping shops warm on cold winters days. Adding heat pump air conditioning units can quickly help increase your sales.

There are many factors when deciding on an air conditioning unit for a shop, including the room shape, size  and where to locate the air conditioning equipment can make a big difference for both the customers and staff.

We provide a free site survey no matter how big or small the project. All surveys are carried out by our  surveyors who can tackle even the complicated of shop installations.

Low-Cost Systems for Shops
Wall Mounted Air Conditioners

Wall-mounted air conditioners are usually the lowest cost option for a shop mainly because they are easy to with the minimum disruption. Wall-mounted units are placed at a high level on the wall.

When choosing a wall-mounted unit, it is important that they are located in the best position possible in the room that will provide the best air distribution.

Ceiling-mounted cassette Air Conditioning units are another popular option for shops.                                                                                    Although they are more expensive than wall wall mounted units, ceiling cassettes are                                                                                        installed within a false tiled or suspended plasterboard ceiling and are therefore more                                                                                    discreet and more attractive because all that is visible is a flush facia panel.

They also provide a balanced four-way airflow and are best placed in the centre of the                                                                                      shop which helps eradicate any ‘hot spots’ keeping all your customers comfortable.

Under-Ceiling Air Conditioning Units for Shops

Under-ceiling air conditioners are best suited to large shops as they can provide air flow up to 10m away from the unit. Unlike ceiling ‘cassette’ units, which are placed within a ‘false ceiling’, they are simply mounted straight under the ceiling itself

While they are not as attractive as other options, they are the most powerful type available especially if there is a large area to cover. The power of these units means fewer units than another style of unit. This often helps reduce installation costs.

Ducted Units for Shops

Ducted air conditioning systems are ideal for high-end shops when a discreet appearance is important. Ducted air conditioners are generally the most expensive option; however, they are certainly the most aesthetic solution as the duct-work and internal units are hidden entirely within a suspended ceiling with only small grilles remaining visible.

Installing a ducted system is best undertaken as part of a building project, or they can be retrofitted if a suspended ceiling is already in place.
